Brawl Yard (3.6 AEC)

Decksplanation: This deck is the splash yard 2.0, just with a cooler brawl starts inspired name. The deck runs with a defensive / control oriented design. The key is to use your cards that control on defense – to defend your tower appropriately. The Ice Wiz, Baby D, and Bowler are great for this, because they can control, and also kill things rather slowly. This slow-paced defense allows you to generate elixir, which allow you to to go on a great offensive counter push.

Use the graveyard when you baby D or bowler has crossed the river so that the opponent’s archer tower locks onto them, and the GY gets massive value. During double elixir time, you’ll even be able to use tornado on the tower, to bring everything in, and allow your splashing troops to kill the opponent’s defense WHILE damaging the opponent’s tower. Hence, splash yard 2.0. Freeze should be used sparingly, and only during the opportune moments. Too soon, and your opponent will likely be ready for it next time. Use it as a surprise and make sure you get the value out of it that it deserves.

During double elixir, you can also use the barbarian barrel combo’d with the graveyard. The barbarian will pop out of the barrel before the first skeleton is spawned, so you have a 2 cost, built in tank that you opponent has to kill, or the skellies won’t die! Watch out for poison… it counters your GY very hard. As such, make sure you recognize your opponents deck before playing your GY win condition. You made need to play the ice wizard a few more times and potentially bait out the opponent’s poison – OR you can bait it out by grouping your bowler/baby D/ice wiz at the bridge after they defend (during double elixir) that way you can still get good value on the GY. Take the deck for a spin – and give it about 10-15 games before you feel truly comfortable with it. Boom!
